Our Doctors

Michael Bailey

DVM

Dr. Michael Bailey is from Raleigh, MS. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1984.   In 1989, he came to Vicksburg and acquired Animal Medical Clinic.  Dr. Bailey’s special interests include Surgery and Dermatology. Dr. Bailey is a gifted surgeon and has received numerous specialized trainings in advanced orthopedics including the TPLO.  He is married to Kathy and has two children, Brex and Kelsie. They have numerous pets including a Great Dane, a Curr and several cats. They attend Woodlawn Baptist Church   When not working at the clinic, Dr. Bailey enjoys spending time on a tractor, hunting or tending to the critters on Bailey Acres. 

Rachel Potter

DVM

Dr. Rachel Potter is a hometown girl who started her veterinary career at Animal Medical Clinic as a high school kennel tech.  After graduating from Mississippi State University -College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Potter returned to Animal Medical Clinic as an associate in 2002.  Her specialty interests include Internal Medicine, Ultrasonography and Exotics.  She enjoys interacting with both her four legged patients as well as their owners and strives to make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident with the care they receive.  She and her husband Travis have 2 children, Cameron and Coley and a multitude of dogs, cats, horses, and chickens.  When not at the clinic Dr. Potter enjoys gardening and tending to the numerous animals on her farm.   She and her daughter also show exhibition poultry around the county.  Her family attends Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phoenix, MS and travel annual as a family to Guatemala for mission work.  

Steve Krapac

DVM

Dr. Steve Krapac grew up in McComb, MS and graduated from Mississippi State University CVM in 1984.  Dr. Krapac and Dr. Bailey were fellow classmates and after a few years practicing in Magnolia, MS, he joined Animal Medical Clinic in 1991.  He and his wife, Beth have two daughters, Hannah and Sarah as well as several animals and chickens.  His special interests include Large and Small Animal Internal Medicine.  When not spending time with his family, Dr. Krapac enjoys working with his registered cow herd.  

Rachel Mann

DVM

Dr. Rachel Mann graduated from Mississippi State University in 2019 and began working at Animal Medical Clinic the same year. She shares her home with her dog and five cats. She attends Elevate Church in Vicksburg. Dr. Mann’s professional interests include surgery and feline care. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, playing video games, gardening, and fish keeping.
